According to blogger @MomentDigital, the upcoming Huawei Mate70 Master Edition phone will feature an all-ceramic back, ditching the dual-tone design, and will be available in three colors: red, black, and grey. The grey color is a new addition.
Huawei's CEO of Consumer Business, Richard Yu, announced at HDC2024 that the Mate70 series will launch in the fourth quarter of this year, likely between October and December. This series will be the first to feature the official release of HarmonyOS NEXT, promising a smoother, more secure, and intelligent user experience.
Looking back at the Huawei Mate60RS Master Edition launched in September 2023, it offered Ruihong (Red) and Xuanhei (Black) colors, a Xuanwu tempered Kunlun Glass back, and support for Beidou satellite messaging. The phone featured an octagonal triple rear camera module including a super-aperture main camera (with a physically adjustable ten-level aperture), a super-macro telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. The Mate60RS Master Edition also boasted a 5000mAh battery with 88W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 20W reverse wireless charging. Prices started at 11,999 yuan for the 16GB+512GB variant, reaching 12,999 yuan for the 16GB+1TB version.
It's expected that the Mate70 Master Edition will continue the excellent design and performance of its predecessor, while innovating with new materials and colors, offering a more premium experience. The inclusion of HarmonyOS NEXT will further enhance the phone's overall performance and user experience, making it a more competitive flagship.
However, specific configurations and features of the Mate70 Master Edition have not yet been officially confirmed by Huawei. Further information will have to wait for the company's official announcement.
