Ahead of the upcoming IFA 2024 trade show, Qualcomm has officially announced the launch of its Snapdragon XPlus 8-core platform, further strengthening its Snapdragon X series product portfolio. This new platform will be implemented in Windows 11 AI+PC products priced between $700 and $900, signifying Qualcomm's expansion into a wider market with enhanced price competitiveness.

In terms of performance, the Snapdragon XPlus 8-core platform employs an 8-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU. This custom-designed CPU delivers ultra-fast responsiveness and exceptional efficiency. In a Geekbench v6.2 single-core performance test conducted against an ASUS ZenBook S13 laptop equipped with Intel Core Ultra 7155U 12-core, the Snapdragon XPlus 8-core (X1P-46-100) achieved a 61% higher CPU performance than its competitor at the same power consumption. This indicates that competing products require 179% more power for the same performance level.

Beyond its powerful CPU, the Snapdragon XPlus 8-core platform integrates a high-performance GPU capable of supporting up to three external displays, ensuring users enjoy exceptional graphics performance and an immersive visual experience.
