Meizu Technology yesterday pushed the latest Flyme 11.24.9.3 daily internal testing version update for its 20 series phones, bringing a number of useful features including an AI call assistant, a smart entity store, and music wallpapers. The update package is approximately 616.83MB in size.

AI Call Assistant Helps You Say Goodbye to Tedious Tasks

The AI Call Assistant is one of the highlights of this update. When receiving a call, users can choose to have the AI Call Assistant answer instead, which can automatically identify calls from delivery services, couriers, advertising promotions, and more, and handle them accordingly. For example, for delivery and courier calls, the AI Call Assistant will automatically answer and provide relevant information based on the user's needs; for nuisance calls such as advertising promotions, the AI Call Assistant will automatically hang up, effectively blocking these calls.

Users can also choose to answer calls manually and respond based on the AI Call Assistant's suggestions, or manually enter text replies. Additionally, the AI Call Assistant supports call recording and a full transcript of the conversation, and it can summarize and extract to-dos from the AI call content. The path to enable it is: Phone > Settings > Call Assistant. It's important to note that enabling call recording separately will disable the use of the call assistant.

Smart Entity Store Opens up Infinite Possibilities

The Smart Entity Store is another significant update in this release. Users can access various high-quality smart entities in the Smart Entity Store without needing to install them, including character dialogue, efficiency tools, text creation, and games. Users can also create custom smart entities according to their needs.

When creating a smart entity, users can have it generated automatically based on the name, or they can customize parameters like character settings, opening lines, and more. The Smart Entity Store provides users with a wealth of options, bringing more convenience to their lives and work.

Music Wallpapers Enhance the Auditory Feast

This update also introduces music wallpaper functionality. When using music apps, users can modify the notification bar style to the system style. While playing music, clicking on the music cover in the notification will enable or disable the music wallpaper function. Music wallpapers will generate lock screen and desktop wallpapers based on the music cover, enhancing the music atmosphere and immersing users in the music experience. The lock screen interface supports swiping up the music playback controls for convenient user operation.

Other Optimizations and Improvements

In addition to the major feature updates mentioned above, this update also includes the following optimizations:

• Android security patches updated to August 2024.

• Optimized the acceleration sensor permission control scheme to avoid issues for map navigation, landscape/portrait switching scenarios, when choosing "Only deny when opening the screen."

• Optimized the interface design of the public sharing control.

• Adjusted the names and wording of some permission management items, for example, "Location" is renamed to "Location Information," and "Acceleration Sensor" is renamed to "Get Device Orientation."

• Supports displaying "One-handed Mode" when searching for "Pull-down hover" in settings.
