Zhou Yibo, head of OPPO's Find series product line, recently revealed that the OPPO Find X8 series will feature Glacier batteries across the board, resulting in a significant upgrade in battery life. The Glacier battery, a joint development between OPPO and CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited), was unveiled in June of this year and first debuted on the OnePlus Ace3 Pro.

The Glacier battery utilizes a new generation of silicon-carbon negative electrode technology. Compared to traditional graphite negative electrode batteries, it significantly increases the lithium-ion content within the battery, pushing the energy density to an industry-leading 763Wh/L and achieving the highest silicon-carbon content in the negative electrode, reaching 6%. This battery not only boasts a large capacity of 6100mAh combined with 100W super fast charging but also surpasses the industry in terms of size, lifespan, and stable power output.

The advantages of the Glacier battery will bring notable battery life improvements to the Find X8 series.
