It is understood that the iPhone 16 series shipped 9 million units in August and 16 million units in September. Considering the timing of the iPhone 16 series launch event, initial stock is expected to be between 15-17 million units. Analysts predict that the iPhone 16 series shipments will reach around 63 million units by Q4 2024.

However, it's worth noting that iPhone 16 series shipments may decline starting Q1 2025. This is primarily attributed to two factors: Apple entering its traditional sales off-season and the launch of the new iPhone SE4, which could impact the sales of some iPhone 16 series models.

Compared to the previous generation, the iPhone 16 Pro models boast more innovative design features, while the non-Pro iPhones have seen relatively minor changes. The most prominent visual change is size: the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will sport larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively, with a bezel reduction of about one-third, giving them a more sleek appearance. Additionally, both Pro models feature a dedicated capacitive "Photo Button" for capturing photos and videos. Consumers may find this practical functionality more appealing than the yet-to-be-mature AI features.

It's worth mentioning that the entire iPhone 16 series is expected to come standard with 8GB of RAM, which will help support Apple's latest AI technology, AppleIntelligence. This configuration is a first for Apple products.

Based on Kuo's predictions, the iPhone 16 series shipments are expected to continue a steady climb, especially for the Pro models. However, the release of the new iPhone SE4 could have a certain impact on the sales of some iPhone 16 series models. The anticipation and market performance of the iPhone 16 series are worth watching.
