According to digital blogger @iIceUniverse, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's camera will receive a significant upgrade, with a notable improvement in the ultra-wide camera, while the other three lenses remain unchanged.
The leak reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's ultra-wide lens will be upgraded from the previous generation's 12MP Sony IMX564 sensor to a new 50MP Samsung S5KJN3 sensor. This new sensor boasts a 0.7um single pixel size, while the current photosensitive unit area remains unknown.
Beyond the ultra-wide lens upgrade, the other camera specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra are also noteworthy. The main camera will continue to use the 200MP Samsung S5KHP2 sensor, featuring a 1/1.3-inch optical format, 0.6m single pixel size, and supports all-pixel all-directional focusing. The 3x telephoto lens will stick with the same 10MP Sony IMX754 CMOS as its predecessor, with a 1/3.52-inch photosensitive unit and all-pixel dual-core focusing. The 5x periscope telephoto lens will be upgraded to the latest Sony IMX854 CMOS, equipped with a 1/2.52-inch photosensitive unit.
This upgrade implies that we may no longer see "filler" lenses with 10MP and 12MP resolutions in future Samsung digital series flagship phones.
