Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Rendered: Straight Edge Design Returns, Camera Upgrades
@Onleaks recently released the first CAD-based renders of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is expected to be released in January or early February next year. The renders reveal that the biggest design change for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is the adoption of a straight-edged design, giving it a more austere look compared to the slightly rounded sides of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
In terms of imaging, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a 200MP H2 main camera, a 50MP ISOCELL JN3 ultra-wide camera, a 10MP IMX754 telephoto lens (3X), and a 50MP IMX584 telephoto lens (5X). This seems to be a significant upgrade only for the ultra-wide camera compared to the previous generation.
It is noteworthy that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra weighs only 219g, which is lighter than the 232g Galaxy S24 Ultra and the 227g iPhone 16 Pro Max. This is due in part to the Galaxy S25 Ultra's smaller dimensions (162.8x77.6x8.2mm) compared to the S24 Ultra.
In other aspects, Samsung is sticking with a 5000mAh battery and supporting 45W wired fast charging. The device is also expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip and feature a 6.86-inch screen.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series was released on January 17, 2024, and the Galaxy S25 series is expected to be released as early as the week of January 13 (IT Home note: the week after CES ends), but it may not be available until early February.
