Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Renders Leaked: KeyIsland Design, Fingerprint Sensor Integrated into Power Button
Tech media AndroidHeadline yesterday (September 11th) published a blog post sharing renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A16 5G. The renders reveal a phone featuring Samsung's latest KeyIsland design, with a slightly raised mid-frame around the power and volume buttons. The power/lock button on the right side will also double as a fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy A16 5G will sport a flat display with a waterdrop notch at the top housing the front camera. The bottom bezel is noticeably thicker than the other bezels, resulting in an overall screen ratio that isn't particularly impressive.
On the back, the phone features a triple camera setup vertically aligned in the top left corner, with each camera lens individually protruding from the back panel, accompanied by an LED flash. Reportedly, the camera configuration of the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G may not be significantly different from the Galaxy A15, with the following specifications:
- 50MP main camera
- 5MP ultrawide camera
- 2MP macro camera
- 13MP front-facing selfie camera
In terms of processing power, leaked GeekBench benchmark database data suggests that the device will come in two chip variants: MediaTek Dimensity 6300 and Exynos 1330.
Based on the current leaked information, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is expected to be an entry-level 5G phone. It retains the design language of the Samsung Galaxy A series while incorporating the KeyIsland design element. Performance-wise, the device will be powered by either the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 or Exynos 1330 processor, and the camera configuration appears to be consistent with the Galaxy A15.
It's important to note that all the information mentioned above is based on leaks and rumors. Samsung has not officially released any details regarding the phone, and the final specifications and release date are subject to official confirmation.
