During the Lamborghini SuperTrofeo Asia 2024 Shanghai race event today, Wang Teng, Deputy General Manager of Xiaomi's China Market Department and General Manager of the Redmi brand, announced a new development in the collaboration between Xiaomi and Lamborghini. Xiaomi's Redmi has already partnered with Lamborghini to release two smartphones, and Wang Teng revealed that a new co-branded product will be launched in Q4 (fourth quarter) of 2024.
According to previous reports from IT Home, on December 11, 2023, the Redmi K70 Pro Champion Edition smartphone was released, featuring the Lamborghini brand, priced at 4599 yuan. On July 19 this year, the Redmi K70 Supreme Champion Edition smartphone was also released, featuring a Lamborghini co-branded design with the Lamborghini car logo on the back. The phone is priced at 3999 yuan for the 24GB+1TB version. Based on this, the new co-branded product is expected to be based on the Redmi K80/Pro series. Previous leaks also suggest that the Redmi K80 series will feature a pure 2K straight screen and include a co-branded model.
In June this year, the Redmi official account and Lamborghini interacted on Weibo, officially announcing that Redmi has become a sponsor of Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the motorsport department of Lamborghini. This collaboration further deepens the partnership between Xiaomi and Lamborghini, enhancing Redmi phones' brand premium capabilities.
