Tech media outlet Smartprix recently reported that Samsung is developing the Galaxy A56 5G phone, which will be powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset. This information is also corroborated by the GSMAIMEI database, with the device model being "SM-A566B/DS".
It is reported that Samsung launched the Galaxy A55 in March this year, equipped with its own Exynos 1480 chipset. The Exynos 1580 is a new chipset that Samsung unveiled in July, codenamed "Santa," and is expected to be used in the Galaxy A56 phone launching next year.
It's worth noting that the Exynos 1580 promises impressive performance. It has appeared on GeekBench, and data suggests that its overall performance is on par with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
The Exynos 1580 has an internal model number of S5E8855, featuring 4 Cortex-A720 and 4 Cortex-A520 CPU cores, integrated with the Xclipse 540 GPU. Compared to the previous generation Galaxy A55's Xclipse 530 GPU, the new generation GPU's performance will see further enhancements.
The specific release date and pricing of the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G are yet to be revealed. However, based on the leaked information, this phone is likely to become a strong contender in Samsung's mid-range market.
