Apple today announced that its artificial intelligence feature, AppleIntelligence, will support German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Vietnamese, "and other languages" next year. Previously, AppleIntelligence only supported American English and is set to officially launch in iOS 18.1, releasing in October.
Apple plans to gradually add support for more languages to AppleIntelligence next year. Notably, the feature is currently only available on iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 series models.
In addition to the aforementioned languages, Apple also revealed that it will introduce support for Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, South African, and British English in December this year (expected with iOS 18.2 release). The company previously announced plans to support Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish next year.
