vivo announced that it will hold the 2024 vivo Developer Conference in Shenzhen on October 10, officially launching OriginOS 5 and its self-developed Blue River operating system. To welcome the upcoming release, vivo has opened up OriginOS 5 system beta recruitment today. The registration period is from September 25th 11:00 to October 6th 23:59.

It is understood that OriginOS 5 has added various detailed animations, improving system smoothness. The system will also bring new features such as depth-of-field wallpapers, customizable lock screen widgets, new lock screen wallpapers with full-screen scrolling, centered dynamic island, and AI large model deep interaction.

vivo will implement system-level and scenario-based experiences of Blue Heart large model on the new OriginOS 5. The new Blue Heart large model will cover multiple dimensions including language, speech, vision, multi-modal and edge, comprehensively upgrading the user experience of interacting with smart devices.

This beta program supports the following vivo models: X100, X100s, X100Pro, X100sPro, X100Ultra, XFold3, XFold3Pro. iQOO models include: iQOO12, 12Pro, iQOONeo9, Neo9Pro, Neo9SPro, Neo9SPro+. Each model is initially set to have 2,000 participants in the beta program, with 300 participants enabled with Log by default and 1,700 participants without Log enabled. However, the final quotas will be adjusted based on the number of applications, information completion rate, and other factors.

The beta program list will be announced before 22:00 on October 8th, and the group joining deadline is 20:00 on October 9th. The beta version is expected to be pushed from 15:00 to 18:00 on October 10th, but the specific time is subject to actual push notification.

It is important to note that participating models need to be upgraded to the designated version or a newer version to ensure that the beta version can be detected. Then, you can apply through System Update - Beta Registration to find the corresponding registration entrance. The OriginOS Beta test system may have instability factors, and users should register with caution.

• vivo XFold3 Series: PD2207_A_1.20.2, PD2207_A_1.21.2

• iQOO 12 Series: I2372_A_1.22.0, I2372_A_1.23.1

• iQOO Neo9 Series: I2371_A_1.21.4, I2371_A_1.22.1, I2371_A_1.23.0, I2371_A_1.23.1, I2371_A_1.24.0, I2371_A_1.24.1

Registration Method:

1. Ensure your phone is upgraded to the designated version or a newer version.

2. Open System Update on your phone and find the "Beta Registration" entrance.

3. Fill in the relevant information and submit your application.
