Today, well-known digital blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the imaging specifications of the iQOO 13. Compared to the previous generation, the iQOO 13's main and telephoto lenses have been upgraded with new CMOS sensors. It is said that the iQOO 13's main camera will use a 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor, the ultrawide lens will continue to use the previous generation's 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 sensor, and the telephoto lens will be upgraded to a 50MP brand new Sony IMX826 sensor, supporting 2x optical zoom.
Compared to the previous generation iQOO 12, the new generation iQOO 13 has made some adjustments to the camera module. The iQOO 12's main camera used a 1/1.31-inch OmniVision VCSOV50H sensor, with a 1.2m single-pixel size, paired with a 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto lens, supporting 3x optical zoom and OIS optical image stabilization. The ultrawide lens remains the same as the iQOO 13, also a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 sensor.
In other words, the iQOO 13's camera module, except for the ultrawide lens, has been adjusted, both in sensor size and pixel count, compared to the previous generation.
In addition to imaging, the iQOO 13 will also make compromises in more details, including charging power, etc. Previous reports suggest that the iQOO 13 series will return to the classic design of the first generation, bringing back the RGB light strip design, hinting that the iQOO 13 may refocus on gaming positioning.
These adjustments to the iQOO 13 may indicate that it will place more emphasis on gaming experience, potentially sacrificing some imaging and charging performance. The final performance of the iQOO 13 will only be revealed after its official release.
