Transsion's sub-brand Infinix has recently launched its first foldable phone, the ZeroFlip, attracting attention with its dual-screen design and 4K video recording capabilities. The ZeroFlip is available in black and pink colors and is priced at 1,065,000 Naira (currently equivalent to about 4,475.39 yuan).
The ZeroFlip adopts a clamshell folding design, equipped with a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED main screen featuring FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1400 nits. It also features a 3.64-inch AMOLED external screen with a resolution of 1056x1066, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.
In terms of photography, the ZeroFlip boasts a rear 50MP Samsung GN5 main camera + 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, integrated with the large secondary screen. It also houses a 50MP punch-hole selfie camera, and all three cameras support 4K video recording. Additionally, Infinix has seamlessly integrated the GoPro camera, allowing users to utilize the ZeroFlip's main screen as a viewfinder.
The ZeroFlip weighs 195 grams, measures 16mm in thickness when folded and 7.6mm when unfolded, and employs a zero-gap hinge, claiming to allow the phone to close completely flat. In terms of performance, the ZeroFlip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, comes with a standard 8GB RAM and 512GB storage, and is equipped with a 4720mAh battery supporting 70W wired charging + 10W reverse charging.
- Besides the ZeroFlip, Transsion's TECNO brand has also released two foldable phones, the PHANTOM VFold2 and VFlip2. The PHANTOM VFold2 adopts a large foldable screen design, equipped with a 6.42-inch external screen, a 7.85-inch main screen, and supports multi-angle free suspension. It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor and will house a 5750mAh battery with 70W fast charging. The PHANTOM VFlip2, on the other hand, features a ThruPool borderless pool external screen design, with a 1.32-inch 466466 external screen and a 6.9-inch 26401080 AMOLED internal screen.
It is worth noting that all foldable phones under Transsion are equipped with a series of AI features, including AI translation, writing, summarization, EllaAI voice assistant, and more.
In addition to the already released foldable phones, there are rumors that Transsion TECNO will bring a "Phantom Ultimate2" tri-fold concept phone to MWC2025 in March next year. This phone adopts a double-hinge three-panel design, one hinge folding inwards and the other folding outwards, forming a Z-shaped design with a thickness of 11mm. The unfolded screen is a 10-inch 3K LTPO display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a PPI of 392, offering a certain level of comparability with tablets.
Currently, the "Phantom Ultimate2" tri-fold phone is still in the concept stage, with specific configuration specifications and release time yet to be announced. However, its design concept has already garnered attention. We believe that as technology continues to develop, Transsion will continue to launch more innovative foldable phones, delivering an even better user experience.
