Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Leaked: Design Upgrades, Performance May be Limited
As the release date for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series approaches, more and more leaks about this new flagship are emerging. It's rumored that the new Samsung Galaxy S25 series will continue the standard, Plus, and Ultra product lineup, and will bring several upgrades in design and performance.
Design Upgrades: Slimmer, Broader View
Blogger @iUniverse recently revealed some details about the Galaxy S25 series. He stated that the standard and Plus versions of the new phone will feature a dual-layer design for the camera module, with a thickness of 1.8mm, while the Ultra version will not have this design and will have a lens thickness of 2.4mm. Additionally, the Galaxy S25 Ultra removes the wide metal frame, and the corners of the device are curved, making it appear as if there is less of the phone's shell visible from the front, providing a wider field of view and enhancing the display experience.
In terms of size and battery, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will have slightly smaller dimensions and be slightly thinner. The standard version has a 4000mAh battery and is 7.2mm thick; the Plus version has a 4900mAh battery and is 7.3mm thick; the Ultra version has a 5000mAh battery and is 8.2mm thick. Compared to the previous generation, all three models are 0.4mm thinner. Blogger @iUniverse also mentioned that 5100mAh is a "boundary" for major international brands due to its impact on air transportation, raising costs if exceeded.
Performance-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will be equipped with a new flagship chip, but the performance may not be fully unleashed. Currently, there are two possibilities for the Samsung Galaxy S25 chip: Samsung's own Exynos 2500 chip or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 chip. Blogger @iUniverse recently confirmed the final choice, stating that although the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 for Galaxy has a high CPU frequency, Samsung's tuning is relatively restrained, so the actual experience will be not much different from the standard version.
Moreover, the design of the Samsung Galaxy S25 standard version has not significantly changed, with the frontal bezels being further narrowed. The rear camera will have three vertically arranged lenses and a camera ring.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series has upgraded its design, with a slimmer profile and wider view for a better visual experience. However, in terms of performance, although it will be equipped with a new flagship chip, Samsung's tuning strategy may limit its performance release, and the actual experience may differ from expectations. It's important to note that this information comes from online leaks, and the final product information will be officially announced.
