On September 24th, at Huawei's Autumn Full-Scenario New Product Launch Conference, the Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT system announced that it would begin public beta testing on October 8th. The first batch of supported devices includes the Mate60/X5 series phones and the MatePadPro 13.2-inch series tablets.
IT Home has noticed that a major highlight of the Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT system is its support for the app cloning feature. Testing has shown that the system can open up to 6 instances of the same app, each of which can be used independently. For example, users can simultaneously open multiple WeChat, QQ, or Alipay apps, making it convenient for handling different accounts or work.
According to official function descriptions, the app cloning feature of the HarmonyOS NEXT system can clone up to 5 instances for a single app. Users can create multiple cloned apps based on their needs, such as using different WeChat accounts to log in to multiple cloned apps for easy switching between work and life.
For redundant cloned apps, users can click to delete them or uninstall them from the desktop, allowing for flexible management of app clones.
In addition to the app cloning feature, the Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT system also brings a series of other updates and optimizations. Previous reports have shown that Huawei's MatePadPro 13.2/112024 tablets, Mate60/Pura70 series, and Pocket2 phones have all received the HarmonyOS NEXT 0.0.70 Beta update, mainly bringing updates to features such as Super Terminal, Continuous Connection, and AI Removal in Gallery.
Super Terminal is a major feature of the HarmonyOS NEXT system, which allows different devices to be connected together to achieve cross-device collaboration. For example, users can connect their phone to a tablet to achieve screen mirroring of the phone, or connect their phone to a smart screen to achieve file transfer between the phone and the smart screen.
The Continuous Connection feature allows for video calls between different devices, such as connecting a phone to a tablet for video calls between them, or connecting a phone to a smart screen for video calls between them.
The AI Removal feature in Gallery can help users intelligently remove unnecessary elements from photos, such as pedestrians, lampposts, etc., to make the photos cleaner and neater.
In addition to the above features, some features related to product interaction with smart screens are currently being adapted and developed, such as Super Desktop, Remote Assistance, Remote Security, and Smart Picture Frame Image Upload. These features will gradually be upgraded and supported in the future, bringing users a more convenient and intelligent user experience.
With the launch of public beta testing, the Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT system will welcome more user experiences and feedback. It is believed that it will continue to improve and develop in the future, bringing users an even better operating system experience.
