A purported render of a new Xiaomi phone recently circulated online, featuring a Leica logo on the camera module and rumored to be the Xiaomi 15. However, Wang Teng, Deputy General Manager of Xiaomi China and General Manager of Redmi, quickly debunked the image as "fake".

While the "render" has been confirmed as fake news, the authenticity of the Xiaomi 15 series has been officially confirmed. According to 3C certification information, the Xiaomi 15 (24129PN74C) and Xiaomi 15 Pro Titanium Edition (2410DPN6CC) have passed certification and support up to 90W fast charging. Both models are manufactured by Beijing Changshu Technology Co., Ltd. and Lens Technology (Xiangtan) Co., Ltd., and both utilize the MDY-14-EC charger, the same one found on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

It's noteworthy that although the "render" wasn't officially released, the mention of a Leica logo isn't baseless. Xiaomi's partnership with Leica has been ongoing for years, with the Xiaomi 13 series and Xiaomi 13 Ultra featuring Leica imaging systems. Therefore, it's possible that the Xiaomi 15 series could also be equipped with Leica cameras.

According to previous reports from IT Home, Xiaomi will hold a launch event at the end of the month, releasing not just the Xiaomi 15 series, but also devices like the Xiaomi Pad 7 series, an eSIM long-lasting smartwatch, headphones, and home appliance ecosystem products.
