Realme GT7 Pro on the Verge of Launch: Snapdragon 8 Elite Powered, 120W Super Flash Charge + 6xxx mAh Silicon Battery, Imaging and Battery Life Double Upgrade?
Recently, the highly anticipated Realme GT7 Pro has passed 3C certification, sparking widespread attention. According to the tech blogger @Digital Chat Station, the new phone will feature 120W super flash charging and a 6xxx mAh silicon battery. The release date is expected to be in early November, potentially even as early as late October. This news signifies that the Realme flagship, which has been teased for two months, is about to officially launch.
Realme Vice President, Xu Qi, previously engaged in discussions about battery and camera configurations for flagship phones on social media. Addressing the question from users, "Shouldn't flagship products have everything?", he stated that flagship products will have a focus on specific aspects in terms of configurations. This move has been interpreted by the outside world as a pre-launch promotion for the Realme GT7 Pro, hinting that the new phone will prioritize either imaging or battery life.
Combining previous leaked information, the Realme GT7 Pro will have a body thickness of around 8.5mm and feature a highly customized 1.5K LTPO deep quad-curved straight screen. Some parameters even surpass the 2K screen of other new phones released at the same time. Additionally, the phone will be equipped with single-point ultrasonic fingerprint recognition technology, offering higher recognition accuracy and faster unlocking speed compared to optical fingerprint recognition.
In terms of imaging, the Realme GT7 Pro will boast a rectangular DECO design on the rear, incorporating a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with a large sensor size. It supports 3X optical zoom + 120X digital zoom, boasts 10X hybrid zoom, and integrates a large model super-resolution algorithm. In contrast, the Realme GT6 is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor + 8MP IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens.
Performance-wise, the Realme GT7 Pro will be powered by the brand-new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It will house an approximately 6000mAh battery, supporting 100W fast charging and IP68/69 dust and water resistance. The Snapdragon 8 Elite adopts a 2+6 architecture design, with two ultra-large cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six large cores at 3.53GHz, representing a significant increase compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3's 3.3GHz. The new chip delivers a 35% improvement in single-core performance and a 30% enhancement in multi-core performance, offering stronger performance advantages in multi-core application scenarios. This is expected to provide users with a smoother and more realistic graphics processing experience.
It's important to note that due to TSMC's latest N3E manufacturing process, the Snapdragon 8 Elite's price is 25%-30% higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, reaching approximately $190 (about 1333 yuan), almost equivalent to the price of a smartphone. This fluctuation in chip prices could potentially impact the cost control and product pricing of smartphone manufacturers, leading to potentially higher purchase costs for consumers. However, industry insiders have also indicated that the current prices observed are just approximate, and there will be fluctuations in procurement prices for different-sized phone brands. The final pricing will need to await an official announcement.
In other aspects, the Realme GT7 Pro will be equipped with single-point ultrasonic fingerprint recognition technology, conveniently located for unlocking and operation. The phone also boasts IP68/69 level dust and waterproof capabilities. From the leaked renderings online, the Realme GT7 Pro is available in white, featuring a rear matrix camera module located in the top left corner of the back, housing three cameras and a flash.
For reference, the Realme GT6 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, offering 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB/512GB/1TB storage options. It is equipped with a 5800mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging.
Based on the information available, the Realme GT7 Pro is expected to bring comprehensive upgrades in terms of screen, performance, imaging, and battery life. Those interested can stay tuned and look forward to the official launch of this new phone.
