Huawei today officially launched the public beta for its pure-blood HarmonyOS NEXT, with the Huawei Mate60 series, Huawei MateX5 series, and Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2-inch series being the first models eligible for participation. IT Home users can apply for the upgrade through the "Upgrade Preview" feature in the "My Huawei" app.
Huawei officials revealed that, as of now, the HarmonyOS NEXT app market has over 10,000 apps and metaservices listed, covering 18 fields and fulfilling 99.9% of users' usage time.
HarmonyOS NEXT uses a full-scenario microkernel architecture for its core, with official claims of performance improvements exceeding 10% over Linux. HarmonyIntelligence, the native intelligent system of HarmonyOS, leverages end-cloud collaboration to construct XiaoYi intelligent agents based on the Panggu large model, while opening AI capabilities to empower third-party apps.
In terms of security, HarmonyOS NEXT is equipped with the Xingdun Security Architecture, providing comprehensive security protection for users.
