MediaTek Dimensity Celebrates 5th Anniversary: Market Share Exceeds 90%, Actress Xin Zhilei Stars in Sci-Fi Film "Sky Voyage"

At the launch event of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 on October 9th, MediaTek officially announced that the Dimensity brand has officially entered its 5th year, with a market awareness exceeding 90%. Notably, MediaTek has also held the top spot in the global smartphone SoC market share for 16 consecutive quarters.

Xin Zhilei, the Dimensity World Exploration Officer, also graced the launch event, promoting the sci-fi film Sky Voyage that she stars in. The film, directed by Kong Dashan and Hao Feihuan, is produced by MediaTek and has recently premiered.

Dimensity was officially unveiled as a new 5G chip brand under MediaTek in November 2019 at the "MediaTek 5G Beyond Leading" launch event in Shenzhen. The first integrated 5G SoC, Dimensity 1000, was also launched alongside it. The name "Dimensity" derives from the third star in the constellation Ursa Major, signifying a guiding force.

Since its inception, the Dimensity series has launched numerous processors, including Dimensity 800, Dimensity 820, Dimensity 720, Dimensity 800U, Dimensity 1100, Dimensity 1200, Dimensity 810, Dimensity 9000, Dimensity 1300, Dimensity 8000, Dimensity 8100, Dimensity 9000+, Dimensity 9200, and Dimensity 9300.
