iQOO's upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 13, has been generating buzz with continuous leaks and rumors. As iQOO's major annual product, the iQOO 13 is expected to bring significant upgrades across the board. At the 2024 vivo Developer Conference, the screen technology of the iQOO 13 was officially revealed.

The iQOO 13 will feature the world's first BOE Q10 luminous material, marking a breakthrough in terms of brightness, color, power consumption, and lifespan. According to official information, the iQOO 13's screen will see a 12.5% increase in peak brightness, a reduction in color deviation by over 50%, a 33% improvement in lifespan, a 15% decrease in ghosting, and a 10% reduction in power consumption.

iQOO Product Manager @GolannV stated, "The screen of the iQOO 13 is definitely the 'New Peak of Screens in 2024'! A year ago, we launched a top-secret project called 'Project Everest.' This signifies our plan to invest a billion yuan in the next three years, aiming to reach the peak of screen technology. The iQOO 13 is our first deliverable."

iQOO and BOE have collaborated to develop a 2K display for the iQOO 13, focusing on the core luminous material, resulting in a screen that is clearer, more eye-friendly, and smoother. Apart from the Q10 luminous material, iQOO has made breakthroughs and incorporated new technologies in eye protection, smoothness, and color.

Based on previous leaks, the iQOO 13 will be equipped with a 2K straight screen with extremely narrow bezels and a straight-edged design with large rounded corners. Additionally, the iQOO 13 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon flagship platform, delivering a significant performance upgrade.

The iQOO 13 will feature a silicon battery with a capacity starting with 6, supporting 120W super flash charging, and 100W PPS fast charging. It is also expected to support IP68 dust and water resistance and USB 3.0 wired transfer.

The iQOO 13 will utilize a higher-positioned fingerprint solution, which is speculated to be ultrasonic. In terms of imaging, the iQOO 13 will feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera, a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX826 telephoto lens, supporting 2x optical zoom.

Other specifications include a metal frame + glass body, single-point ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, large X-axis linear motor, and IP68 dust and water resistance.

Reports indicate that the iQOO 13 will only be available in a standard version without a Pro variant. The design will be similar to its predecessor. Currently, the device has passed all certifications and is getting closer to its official release.

In addition to hardware upgrades, the iQOO 13 will be the first to feature vivo's new operating system, OriginOS 5. OriginOS 5 was officially launched at the developer conference, boasting an AI-reconstructed system experience, a comprehensive upgrade to Blue Heart V, enhanced smoothness, and natural and comfortable design.
