Xiaomi founder Lei Jun previously revealed some details of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra's testing at the Nurburgring. The planned exclusive testing sessions on October 9th and 10th were canceled due to severe weather conditions. However, recent reports suggest that Xiaomi has rescheduled its Nurburgring test and may compete on the world-renowned track alongside BYD's Yangwang U9. Several bloggers have also hinted in their articles that Xiaomi's Nurburgring test dates have been confirmed.
The Nurburgring Nordschleife is known for its unpredictable weather and extreme challenge. It experiences an average of 123.9 rain days per year, and the track is closed for four months during winter. Due to these factors, exclusive testing sessions at the Nurburgring are highly limited.
In August, Yangwang Auto stated that the Yangwang U9 was designed with the Nurburgring in mind and has undergone six months of on-site testing since the project started. During this period, the Yangwang U9 has completed targeted optimizations for over 70 corners, performance enhancements for over 30 typical road sections, and matching tests for nearly 150 technical solutions.
Both the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and BYD Yangwang U9 are high-end models from their respective brands, and they both view the Nurburgring as the ultimate test of performance. The appearance of both cars signifies an exciting showdown about to take place.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra adopts the design language of Xiaomi's automotive line, featuring clean and flowing lines, and being equipped with advanced intelligent driving assistance systems. In terms of power, the new car is expected to be equipped with high-performance motors and batteries, offering multiple driving mode options.
BYD's Yangwang U9, as the first model from the Yangwang brand, boasts a unique body design and power system, featuring a number of cutting-edge technologies aimed at challenging the traditional luxury car market.
The Nurburgring clash between these two vehicles will be a peak showdown of technology and performance, with the outcome closely watched by car enthusiasts worldwide. This competition is expected to further drive the development of China's automotive industry.
