Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Design Details Leak: Smaller, Thinner, and More Rugged, Ultra Exclusive Satellite Communications
Recently, leaks about Samsung's Galaxy S25 series have been surfacing, with most of the details focused on design aspects. The latest leaks showcase mockups of the series and more in-depth design details, giving us a glimpse of the next generation of Samsung's flagship phones.
Continuing Minimalist Design, Thinner and Smaller Body
From leaked mockup photographs, Samsung seems to be continuing its minimalist design style in the Galaxy S25+ version. The back design is simple and clean, with the camera array consisting of three circular lens openings arranged vertically in the top left corner, consistent with the previous S24 series.
The Galaxy S25+ will feature a centered punch-hole screen on the front and is expected to adopt a narrower bezel design around the screen, providing users with a larger display area. This is also a plan that Samsung has been consistently pursuing in its flagship products.
According to leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S25+ mockup dimensions are 158.44mm 75.79mm 7.35mm, slightly thinner than last year's Galaxy S24+. Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy S25 is 146.94x70.46x7.25mm, and the top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra is 162.82x77.65x8.25mm, making it the largest of the three models.
It's worth noting that the new Samsung Galaxy S25 series seems to have adopted a flat-sided design across the entire lineup, which changes its overall aesthetic. Based on leaked mockup images, the new Samsung Galaxy S25 series devices showcase a more rugged exterior style as the positioning of the device increases. Specifically, compared to the standard S25 and the slightly higher-positioned S25+ model, the top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a more angular, less rounded design, making it bolder and more premium.
Standard Galaxy S25: Smallest Straight-Screen Flagship Ever
Blogger @iIceUniverse recently revealed in a leak that "Samsung S25 (with screen protector) in hand, 6.17-inch smallest straight screen, compared side-by-side with vivo mini, it's even smaller." This means the new generation of Samsung Galaxy S25 standard version will be equipped with a 6.17-inch screen, adopting a straight-screen design, a small-size scheme, and even smaller than the recently released small-screen flagship vivo X200 Promini.
Earlier leaks also showed that "S25 and S25+ cameras have a new trick, there's a double-layer design here, it looks like something we haven't seen before. S25U doesn't have that." "This S25 little darling is indeed thin at 7.2mm." Combined with the released images, the new Samsung Galaxy S25 standard and Plus versions seem to adopt a thin design, with some adjustments in design details.
Battery Upgrade, AI Battery Feature May Improve Battery Life by 10%
Aside from the size adjustments, battery life in the new generation of Samsung S series flagships is also attracting attention. Related leaks claim that the Samsung Galaxy S25 will have a 4000mAh battery with 25W fast charging; the Galaxy S25+ will have a 4900mAh battery with 45W fast charging; and the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
While these capacities are slightly conservative compared to the large battery solutions generally adopted in the current smartphone market, there were previous reports about an "AI Battery" feature set to be introduced in Samsung Galaxy S25 series phones, aiming to improve battery life by 10%. Whether this feature leads to actual improvements in battery performance remains to be seen.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Exclusive Satellite Communication
Additionally, recent 3C certification information reveals that out of the three models in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, only the Ultra version currently supports satellite communication, while the standard and Plus versions do not.
Summary: Upgrades and Improvements, Worth Anticipating
Overall, the new Samsung Galaxy S25 series will see certain improvements and upgrades, including a thinner and smaller body design, a more rugged exterior style, a smaller screen size, and the addition of an AI battery feature. However, the final details of the configuration and functionality will have to wait for the official release. Those interested can stay tuned.
