While the Huawei Mate70 series is unlikely to make an appearance at this conference, a recent leak online showed a Mate70 series phone case with clear lettering stating For Huawei Mate70, suggesting a high level of credibility.

The leaked phone case reveals a shift from curved to straight-edged frames for the Mate70 series, offering a more rugged and professional look compared to its predecessor. However, if the transition to a straight-edged frame is poorly executed, it could lead to an inferior grip, something consumers will not be pleased with. Additionally, the phone case showcases a cutout for the power button, which, combined with previous leaks, indicates the Mate70 series will support 3D facial recognition and side-mounted fingerprint unlock.

Its speculated that the side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the Mate70 series will go beyond unlocking and incorporate Mysterious Sensing features from smart wearable devices, allowing users to take their heart rate directly from their phone. Furthermore, the size of the camera lens cutout on the phone case suggests a larger camera module for the Mate70 series compared to the Mate60 series. It's anticipated that the imaging system will adopt the technology from the Pura70 series, especially for the Mate70 Pro+, with the inclusion of a 1-inch main sensor and a periscope lens system.
