Samsung today unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition foldable phone overseas. An upgrade to the Galaxy Z Fold6, the new phone maintains its square-shaped design and straight edges while also becoming thinner, larger, and lighter. It boasts the best camera setup ever seen on a Galaxy foldable phone.
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition measures a mere 10.6mm in thickness when folded, and an incredibly thin 4.9mm when unfolded. Weighing in at 236g, it is 3g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold6. Despite its slim profile, the new device still packs an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x InfinityFlex inner screen with a QXGA+ resolution and a 20:18 aspect ratio. It supports HDR10+ for a more immersive visual experience. The outer screen remains a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, offering a familiar feel similar to standard smartphones.
