iQOO officially announced today that the iQOO 13 will be the first device to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy mobile platform. This new flagship chip is built on TSMC's 3nm process technology and features a second-generation self-developed Oryon CPU, adopting a "2+6" design with 2 super-large cores clocked at 4.32GHz and 6 performance cores running at 3.53GHz. Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the frequencies have increased by approximately 31% and 10%, respectively. Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy offers a 45% improvement in both single-core and multi-core performance, along with a 45% boost in energy efficiency.
As the first product born from the collaboration between vivo and Qualcomm's joint labs, iQOO 13 will engage in deep partnership with Qualcomm. The device will be the first to feature the Blue Crystal X Snapdragon platform, jointly defining, developing, and tuning the Snapdragon chip. The Blue Crystal X platform promises to deliver the ultimate performance release and power control, breaking the barriers between high performance and low power consumption. System architects, software and hardware engineers, and performance architects from vivo's team have collaborated extensively with Qualcomm to optimize various aspects, including scheduling, display, and storage. Starting from user scenarios, both parties have delved into the chip's lower levels, combining software and hardware to jointly optimize CPU/GPU scheduling and memory management strategies, ultimately providing exceptional performance tuning and the best possible gaming experience.
