On October 25th, Xiaomi announced that it will hold a launch event for the Xiaomi 15 series and the Xiaomi Pengpai OS2 on October 29th at 7 pm. Today, the company further elaborated on the screen features and display performance of the Xiaomi 15 series smartphones. The core technologies behind this innovative display include a flexible screen and COP (Chip On Pi) technology, with the "Amber" technology ensuring ultra-narrow bezels and a breakthrough display experience.

The Xiaomi 15 series smartphones feature an ultra-narrow 1.38mm four-sided bezel design, inspired by amber. By optimizing the adhesive position, the COP flex cable is hidden beneath the screen. Moreover, the use of LIPO encapsulation technology, employing a light-sensitive resin to protect the COP flex cable, mirrors the way amber protects insects trapped within. This "Amber" technology not only narrows the bottom bezel but also enhances the screen's reliability.

To guarantee product quality, Xiaomi has independently developed a photocuring production line, ensuring that the molds are remade after approximately 10 uses, maintaining shape stability.

Beyond the ultra-narrow bezels, the "Amber" technology also brings breakthrough display performance to the Xiaomi 15 series. The Xiaomi 15's exclusive M9 luminous material, coupled with a dual-microcavity screen structure, optimizes the dual-microcavity structure for different wavelengths of RGB pixels, refining light and enhancing luminous efficiency. This implies that the Xiaomi 15 series smartphones can achieve higher brightness or lower power consumption at the same power level.

Xiaomi highlights that the high brightness levels boasted by some manufacturers are merely digital games with limited practical applications. In contrast, the Xiaomi 15 series achieves a peak brightness of 3200 nits, triggering at a 25% APL (average picture level), significantly expanding the application of high-brightness scenarios. The screen also supports full-brightness DC dimming and full-screen AOD (Always-On Display) lock screen functionality, effectively reducing eye strain and enhancing user comfort.
