Fast Technology reported on October 27th that Zhang Guoquan, Director of Xiaomi's Mobile System Software Department, revealed that HyperCore, the company's powerful engine, will be adapted to other models running on the new Pangu OS 2, in addition to the Xiaomi 15 series.

The HyperCore engine introduces a "newly developed micro-architecture scheduler," which deeply analyzes the chip's micro-architecture and instruction pipeline, transforming the traditional "black box" approach of frame load tracking into a "white box" model. This improvement enhances transparency in task execution, allowing for direct separation of "instruction execution cycles" and "memory access latency cycles" from the chip. Through an integrated frequency modulation mechanism, HyperCore optimizes cache and DDR resource allocation, significantly reducing CPU idle time.

In conjunction with Xiaomi's dynamic memory technology and Xiaomi's Refresh Storage 2.0, the system upgrades the scheduler, memory management, and storage management, three core underlying technologies. These upgrades significantly enhance the performance of the Xiaomi 15 series, achieving the fastest app launch speed and the lowest game frame power consumption. Impressively, the phone maintains a smooth user experience even under heavy load and compound scenarios.

On the graphics processing side, the HyperCore engine reconstructs the graphics rendering pipeline, utilizing global joint rendering and heterogeneous graphics computation to substantially reduce image rendering time, from 576ms to 48ms, representing a 12-fold efficiency increase. Furthermore, Xiaomi innovatively implements "real-time video layering on the client side," ushering in a new era of full-video lock screens.

It's worth noting that Xiaomi's advancements extend beyond core technology. Pangu OS 2 also features comprehensive optimizations in intelligent interconnection architecture and AI technology, providing users with a more efficient and intelligent device experience. These newly upgraded technologies will be premiered on the Xiaomi 15 series, offering an exceptional user experience and substantial performance gains.

These optimization achievements are underpinned by higher-spec hardware support. However, with rising procurement costs for memory and core components, coupled with fluctuating exchange rates, the flagship phone market is expected to face price pressure by the end of the year. The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to have a starting price of 4599 yuan.
