Apple announced on Friday that it will be rolling out its new Genmoji, ImagePlayground, and ImageWand features to users running the iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2 developer beta in the "coming weeks."

The full announcement was posted on Apple's Feedback Assistant website, outlining the steps to join the early access list for these features and encouraging users to actively participate in testing and improvement.

Users can apply for access through the following methods:

• ImagePlayground app message or ImagePlayground integration within Freeform

• Genmoji integration within the emoji keyboard

• ImageWand within the Apple Pencil tool palette in the Notes app

Apple stated that it will be granting access to applicants over the coming weeks and will notify users when the features are ready for testing.

Upon receiving access, users can provide feedback by clicking "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" next to each result.

It's worth noting that these features are currently on a waitlist, with some users gaining access within minutes of Apple releasing the beta, while others are still waiting. Apple's announcement provides clarity for those still waiting and indicates that they will soon be able to experience these features.

Genmoji, ImagePlayground, and ImageWand are just a few of the new Apple Intelligence features introduced in the iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2 developer beta. Other features include:

• Siri with ChatGPT integration

• Visual intelligence

Genmoji can generate custom emojis based on user descriptions, ImagePlayground can create cartoon images based on user prompts, and ImageWand allows users to transform rough sketches into crisp images within the Notes app.

The first set of Apple Intelligence features will be released next week with iOS 18.1, with support for American English only. These features include:

• Writing tools

• Notification summaries

• Suggested replies in the Messages and Mail apps

• The "Clean Up" tool in the Photos app (for quickly removing objects from photo backgrounds)

iOS 18.2, which will be released in December, will include Genmoji, ImagePlayground, and other features. iOS 18.2 and other betas will also expand Apple Intelligence to localized English in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, with support for additional languages like German, Italian, and Korean coming next year.

Apple Intelligence features require an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 series device.

This means the features will be initially available to developers using the latest flagship models, with gradual expansion to other users and devices in the coming months.
