Kuaitech, October 28th: Blogger "Changchang Shi Guanxuesheng" revealed that Huawei Mate70 series has at least one-third more stockpiles compared to the Mate60 series, indicating Huawei's comeback this year. According to supply chain sources, component supply for the Huawei Mate70 series began in September. A core supplier for Huawei phones stated that internal information suggests the series will be released in November.

Leaked information indicates the Huawei Mate70 series will adopt a centered 3D facial recognition with a curved screen with a 1.5K resolution. The rear camera will be centrally positioned in an oval-shaped module. The Mate70 Extraordinary Master edition will feature an octagonal lens design. The device will offer both 3D facial recognition and side-mounted fingerprint unlocking. Leaked third-party phone cases also reveal a designated space for the power button, indicating side-mounted fingerprint support.

More importantly, the Huawei Mate70 series will debut the native HarmonyOS, the first version devoid of the Linux kernel and AOSP (Android Open Source Project) code. Huawei has built a full-stack self-developed foundation for its operating system, from the system kernel, file system, to programming language, compiler/runtime, programming framework, design system, integrated development environment, and core technologies like AI frameworks, and large language models, accomplishing comprehensive breakthroughs.

Currently, the HarmonyOS ecosystem map is rapidly expanding, supporting over 15,000 apps and microservices, far exceeding the initial goal of supporting over 5,000 apps in the first year of the HarmonyOS project. Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, stated that HarmonyOS has covered 30 years of progress achieved by its Western counterparts in only 10 years, achieving completely independent and self-developed native systems.

On another front, Huawei phone sales have experienced explosive growth this year. Richard Yu announced at a press conference that flagship phones equipped with HarmonyOS achieved a 71% growth in shipments in the first three quarters of this year, with the Pura70 series seeing a 154% year-on-year increase. The total number of devices powered by HarmonyOS now surpasses 1 billion.

The increased stockpiles for the Huawei Mate70 series reflect Huawei's confidence in the series' market performance. Combined with the debut of the native HarmonyOS and the accelerating ecosystem development, Huawei's phone market share is anticipated to continue growing. Its future development holds promising potential.
