Tonight, Xiaomi officially launched the highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 series. The company stated that the Xiaomi 15 standard model will directly target the iPhone 16 Pro with its powerful performance. As Xiaomi's annual flagship, the Xiaomi 15 series is equipped with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Extreme Performance, which features a second-generation 3nm process, dual super cores with PC-class architecture, and a new micro-architecture specifically designed for mobile devices.
Being the fastest CPU Qualcomm has ever produced, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Extreme Performance boasts two super cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six performance cores clocked at 3.53GHz. It achieves a 45% performance increase in both single-core and multi-core benchmarks, and a 62% improvement in browser performance, providing powerful capabilities for multitasking, web browsing, and gaming.
Xiaomi calls the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Extreme Performance a "watershed moment" for mobile chips, emphasizing its performance leap of ten years. Besides the powerful CPU, the Xiaomi 15 also incorporates Xiaomi HyperCore, featuring a self-developed micro-architecture scheduler that works hand-in-hand with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Extreme Performance, resulting in a 19% improvement in CPU task execution efficiency and a 45.7% decrease in application launch response time.
To ensure stable performance, the Xiaomi 15 employs a new generation "Wing-shaped Annular Cold Pump" cooling system, which boasts three times the cooling performance of traditional VC, ensuring cool operation even under demanding gaming scenarios.
