On October 29th, Xiaomi held a launch event in Beijing for the Xiaomi 15 series and the new Xiaomi Surge OS2. The event unveiled 16 new products across the "people, vehicle, and home" ecosystem, including the Xiaomi 15 series smartphones, Xiaomi Surge OS2, the mass production version of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, the Xiaomi Pad 7 series, the Xiaomi Band 9 Pro, the Xiaomi Watch S4, and the Mi Home Air Conditioner with Pro Upward Air Flow.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro is available in three colors: Spruce Green, Rock Gray, and White. We're showcasing the white version in these images, which features a snowy white finish. The back cover is crafted with a frosted process that diffuses direct light and prevents fingerprints. The black ceramic camera module contrasts beautifully with the pure white body, enhancing the phone's visual appeal and recognizability.

The design of the Xiaomi 15 series hasn't undergone a radical overhaul. Instead, it builds upon the design language established in the 14 series. This seemingly standard, minimalist design feels refreshing and distinct in the latter half of 2023, especially as other brands are embracing the trend of large circular camera modules. While the Xiaomi 15 series might appear unassuming at first glance, it exudes a refined charm and elevates the overall quality feel.

This refined charm is evident in every design detail, particularly in the handling of the camera module. The Xiaomi 15 Pro boasts a seamless ceramic camera module that is smooth and warm to the touch. Furthermore, the camera module features a four-curved design that creates a sense of fullness. The transition between the body and the module is reminiscent of a "volcano," with natural and smooth curves. The camera module is robustly integrated into the design, creating a strong sense of unity. It's debatable whether the Xiaomi 15 Pro is the best-looking numbered series in Xiaomi's history, but it undoubtedly possesses the most refined texture and a strong product identity.

Moving to the front, the Xiaomi 15 Pro incorporates a full-depth micro-curved display with a four-curved wraparound frame. It features a 6.73-inch 32001440 OLED full-depth four-curved display from Huaxing Optoelectronics, based on M9 luminescent materials (double-layer micro-cavity luminescent structure). Compared to the 2K screen of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, the Xiaomi 15 Pro achieves a 24% reduction in power consumption while exhibiting a comparable power performance to a 1.5K screen from other brands.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro measures 8.35mm thick and weighs 213g. It adopts a unibody aerospace aluminum frame with a slightly straight edge design. The back cover is flat, but the frame, back cover, and screen seamlessly blend together with four-curved arcs, resulting in a sleek design and a minimalist aesthetic. The feel in hand is not "sharp" despite the flatness.

Let's delve deeper into the details. The top frame of the Xiaomi 15 Pro is devoid of any openings, save for two antenna injection strips. The top speaker is concealed on the front of the device (within the screen and frame area, acting as the earpiece). The infrared sensor and other sensor openings are discreetly hidden within the camera module. The entire frame exudes a clean and concise appearance.

Performance-wise, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, delivering PC-grade performance. It is further enhanced by Xiaomi HyperCore, which incorporates a self-developed micro-architecture scheduler. The device is equipped with LPDDR5X memory and UFS4.0 flash storage. It also employs a wing-shaped ring-shaped cold pump cooling system with a cooling area of 4053mm.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro utilizes Huaxing Optoelectronics' 6.73-inch 32001440 OLED full-depth four-curved display. Based on M9 luminescent materials (double-layer micro-cavity luminescent structure), it boasts a claimed 24% reduction in power consumption compared to the 2K screen of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, offering a comparable power performance to a 1.5K screen from competitors. This display supports a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate and features three-stage screen partition refresh. It offers a maximum manual brightness of 800nit, a global peak brightness of 1000nit, a local peak brightness of 3200nit (25% window, no content format restrictions), a 300Hz touch sampling rate, a 2560Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and is covered by a Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 panel (25%-30% improved drop resistance compared to Dragon Crystal 1.0).

Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 Pro supports all-day full-screen Always-on Display, ultrasonic fingerprint recognition (25% faster unlock with screen on, 50% faster unlock with screen off), and stereo dual speakers.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro incorporates the Surge P3 fast-charging chip and the Surge G1 battery management chip. It houses a 6100mAh Jinshajiang battery (positive electrode: 4.53V high-voltage cobalt-acid lithium material, negative electrode: 6% silicon content + carbon nanotube conductive network, energy density reaching 850Wh/L, achieving a 1600-cycle capacity retention rate of 80% and a capacity retention rate of 81% at -20). It supports 90W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, a magnetically attached protective case, and magnetic wireless charging.

It's noteworthy that the Xiaomi 15 Pro is equipped with the Xiaomi Starry Sky Communication System, which features the first-ever Xiaomi Surge T1S signal enhancement chip. It also incorporates the Xiaomi T1 chip, a six-high-frequency + four-low-frequency high-performance antenna array, an independent Bluetooth antenna, and supports AI antenna intelligent selection, significantly enhancing communication experience. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 15 Pro boasts Xiaomi Starry Sky Offline Communication, the industry's first to support two-way calls without a network for up to 3.5km. It also supports global travel, covering over 200 countries and regions.

In terms of imaging, the Xiaomi 15 Pro utilizes a new generation of Leica-customized optical lenses with a new ALD ultra-transparent coating. It features a 32MP front camera (OmniVision OV32B40) and a rear camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera (Light Hunter 900, 1/1.3", f/1.44 aperture, OIS) + 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera (Samsung S5KJN1, f2.2) + 50MP 5X periscope telephoto camera (Sony IMX858, OIS, claimed 10X lossless zoom).
