Last night, the highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 series and Xiaomi Surge OS 2 new product launch conference was officially held. The three-hour-long conference brought us a plethora of heavyweight new products, with the most eye-catching being the brand-new Xiaomi 15 series.

The Xiaomi 15 series launched two models this time, the standard version and the Pro version, starting at 4499 yuan. However, to everyone's surprise, along with the launch of the Xiaomi 15 standard version and Pro version, news of the ultra-large model, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, was also revealed.

According to recently leaked information, a new Xiaomi device, codenamed "xuanyuan," appeared in the MiCode code, revealing some of its imaging specifications. All signs point to this "xuanyuan" device being the next-generation Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra continues Xiaomi's strong performance in the field of imaging and will be equipped with a complete quad-camera system. The new device will feature a 50MP Sony 1-inch LYT900 sensor main camera, which, with its ultra-large light-sensitive area, excels in capturing light and preserving detail, approaching the level of a DSLR camera.

In addition to the main camera, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also be equipped with a 5x periscope telephoto lens featuring a 200MP S5KHP9 sensor, achieving 5x optical zoom and supporting 10x lossless zoom. This periscope telephoto lens can capture details from further distances, offering users a broader shooting perspective.

To further enhance zoom capabilities, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also feature a 3x telephoto lens equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor, complementing the 5x periscope telephoto lens. This multi-focal length lens design allows users to capture objects at various distances more flexibly, ensuring clear depictions for both nearby scenery and distant buildings.

For the ultra-wide-angle lens, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be equipped with a Samsung S5KJN5 ultra-wide-angle sensor, providing a wider field of view for landscape and architectural photography, allowing users to capture more in each frame. This ensures that even when cropping or zooming specific portions of the image, details remain clear.

It's worth mentioning that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's front-facing camera will also adopt a 32MP OV32B40 sensor, delivering a higher-resolution selfie experience and supporting a range of portrait modes and beauty features, allowing users to effortlessly capture more refined selfies.

In terms of core specifications, the brand-new Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor, providing powerful support for the high-performance camera, ensuring no delays or overheating during shooting.

In terms of the display, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will upgrade to a 2K resolution panel, bringing a more refined display experience. Based on previous certification information, the international version of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is model 25010PN30G, expected to launch in January 2025, pre-installed with the Surge OS 2 system.

Besides the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, another Xiaomi 15SPro, internally codenamed "dijun," is reported to be a China-exclusive model, expected to launch around June next year. Due to the relatively long time until launch, there's no concrete information yet, and the actual product details remain to be confirmed.
