Nothing launched its community co-creation project in March this year, aiming to create unique technological products in collaboration with users. Now, the first selected project has finally come to fruition with the release of the NothingPhone(2a)Plus Community Edition, a phone that glows in the dark.

This project took six months to develop, going through four stages of selection. Nothing received over 1000 ideas from users in 47 countries and regions around the world, ultimately leading to the creation of this unique Phone(2a)Plus Community Edition.

As the name suggests, this community edition was designed by community members Astrid Vanhuyse and Kenta Akasaki. Inspired by fireflies, it features a phosphorescent finish that appears dark green in daylight but glows a bright green in the dark, just like real fireflies. Notably, this glow doesn't require any battery power or additional light sources.

Beyond the unique firefly design, this community edition also comes with six custom wallpapers designed by another user, Andrs Mateos, and a reflective, glowing package designed by Ian Henry Simmonds.

This limited-edition phone will officially launch on November 12th, with only 1000 units available at a price of 399 (approximately 3702). Nothing stated, "This is our rarest device yet. It's first come, first served, and once it's gone, it's gone. Community members who participated in the project will be given priority purchase access."
