The Xiaomi 15 series has officially launched, and TCL Huaxing has announced that they are supplying the screens for the series. The phones feature a 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO flat screen and a 6.73-inch 2K LTPO four-curved screen. Notably, Wang Hua, Vice President of Xiaomi Group, confirmed on Weibo that the screens for the Xiaomi 15 series are exclusively supplied by TCL Huaxing, denying rumors of mixed sourcing.

The Xiaomi 15 series screens utilize a custom-designed M9 luminescent material and feature a unique dual micro-cavity emission structure. This structure incorporates tailored dual micro-cavity designs for different RGB pixel wavelengths, further purifying light and enhancing luminous efficiency. As a result, the Xiaomi 15 series screens boast a 24% reduction in power consumption compared to previous generations. This is especially notable in the Xiaomi 15 Pro, where the power consumption of the 2K screen is nearly identical to the 1.5K screen of the Xiaomi 14.

Besides lower power consumption, the dual micro-cavity structure also allows the Xiaomi 15 series screens to achieve a peak brightness of 3200 nits when 25% of the display area is illuminated, surpassing the industry standard of 1% area illumination. It's worth noting that many devices in the industry can only reach peak brightness when 1% of the screen area is lit and HDR content is being played. The Xiaomi 15 series, however, is not restricted by this limitation, achieving peak brightness even when 25% of the area is illuminated.
