Techinsights' latest report reveals that China's smartphone market continued its rebound in the third quarter of 2024, with shipments growing 3% year-over-year to 65.7 million units. This marks the third consecutive quarter of growth, solidifying China's position as the world's largest single smartphone market.
In terms of operating system market share, Apple's iOS maintained a stable presence in the Chinese market, holding onto a 15% share, in line with the same period last year. Androids shipment share, however, slightly declined from 72% a year ago to 70%. Notably, Huawei's HarmonyOS saw a significant surge in its market share, rising from 13% to 15%, demonstrating its strong growth momentum.
On the vendor front, vivo continued to dominate the Chinese smartphone market with a 19% share. Following closely behind were OPPO/OnePlus and Xiaomi, both holding a market share of 15.5%.
