Xiaomi Community has officially launched the beta recruitment for the Universal Remote Control design refresh today. Registration closes on November 8th. The beta test will run from November 4th to 11th, 2024, lasting for one week.
To ensure smooth participation, applicants must meet several basic requirements:
- Phone must have infrared functionality: This is necessary to control infrared devices in your home.
- Existing infrared devices compatible with the Universal Remote Control at home: Such as air conditioners, TVs, etc., to experience the convenience of universal remote control.
- Actively test and promptly report any issues encountered: Your feedback will help Xiaomi further optimize the Universal Remote Control.
In this beta update, Xiaomi has completely redesigned the homepage, adding page, and "My" page of the Universal Remote Control. The new interface is not only more aesthetically pleasing but also more user-friendly.
If you have a Xiaomi phone and compatible infrared devices (like air conditioners, TVs, etc.) at home, the Universal Remote Control will be able to unify the control of these devices, bringing more convenience. Through this beta program, Xiaomi can collect user feedback and suggestions on the new design, further optimize the Universal Remote Control, and provide a better user experience.
