Market research firm Counterpoint Research has recently released a report revealing the global best-selling smartphone rankings for Q3 2024. Notably, the standard iPhone 15 climbed to the top spot with a 3.5% market share. This ranking reflects Apple's strong position in the global smartphone market while also showcasing the fierce competition among Android phone manufacturers.

The report shows that the top ten smartphones collectively account for 19% of global market sales. Apple occupies four spots, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro. Samsung follows closely with five spots, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy A54 5G, Galaxy A34 5G, Galaxy A14 5G, and Galaxy A24. Xiaomi claims the final spot on the list with the Redmi 13C 4G.

Of note, the iPhone Pro models surpassed the standard iPhone models for the first time in Q3 2024, accounting for over 50% of iPhone sales.
