The OPPO Find N5 is Coming: A Slim Design with Performance and Imaging Enhancements
The first half of 2025 will see a new wave of foldable phones entering the market, and the highly anticipated OPPO Find N5 is already entering the countdown to its launch. Recently, digital bloggers @WisdomPikachu and @DigitalChatStation have been releasing leaks, unveiling the mysteries surrounding this new device.
According to these leaks, the OPPO Find N5 will continue the thin and light design philosophy of its predecessor, further enhancing the metallic texture. The back of the phone retains the familiar circular camera module, housing three cameras, with a 50-megapixel main camera. In terms of core configurations, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, supporting wireless magnetic charging. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 employs a second-generation custom Qualcomm Oryon CPU, featuring an 8-core configuration with 2 super-large cores + 6 performance cores. The super-large core has a frequency of up to 4.32GHz, achieving a 45% increase in CPU single-core performance and a 45% increase in multi-core performance. The GPU, utilizing the new Adreno GPU, offers a 40% performance boost, a 40% reduction in power consumption, and a 35% improvement in ray tracing performance.
Compared to the previous generation, the OPPO Find N5 also makes breakthroughs in thickness and weight. The glass version of the OPPO Find N3 has a thickness of 5.8mm when unfolded, 11.7mm when folded, and weighs approximately 245g. The leather version has a thickness of 6.0mm when unfolded, 11.9mm when folded, and weighs approximately 239g. Based on leaks, the OPPO Find N5 is expected to achieve an unfolded thickness of less than 5.8mm and a folded thickness of less than 11.7mm, with an estimated weight below 239g. Additionally, the OPPO Find N5 supports Apple ecosystem compatibility, offering a more convenient option for iPhone users who want to experience foldable phones.
Another blogger, @DigitalChatStation, also revealed key information about the OPPO Find N5. It is said that the new device will continue the design style of its predecessor but with a slightly larger screen. The rear camera module adopts a large, centered circular design, incorporating a 50-megapixel Hasselblad Master-tuned main camera + 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera + 50-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto lens. The battery uses a dual-cell design with a total capacity ranging from 5565mAh to 5700mAh, supporting wireless charging. Furthermore, the OPPO Find N5 is equipped with a custom USB Type-C port, emphasizing its ultra-thin design philosophy.
Looking back at the OPPO Find N3, this model was officially released last October with a starting price of 9999 yuan. It is equipped with a 64-megapixel ultra-sensitive periscope telephoto lens + 48-megapixel folding pixel wide-angle lens + 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, adopting an inner and outer dual diamond screen. The inner screen measures 7.8 inches, while the outer screen is 6.3 inches, both supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1440Hz high-frequency PWM. In terms of core configuration, it is powered by the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, features a built-in 4805mAh battery, and supports 67W fast charging.
Overall, the OPPO Find N5 adheres to the thin and light design concept while achieving comprehensive upgrades in performance, imaging, and battery life. The new device is expected to be released in the first quarter of next year. Users interested in foldable phones should keep an eye out for further updates.
