Realme GT7 Pro: Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Challenging the Flagship Market at 3599 Yuan
With the rising prices of upstream components, the prices of flagship phones have been climbing this year. Most flagship phones now start at around 4500 yuan. However, Realme, known for its "leapfrog" experience, remains true to its roots. The newly released Realme GT7 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and priced at just 3599 yuan for the 12GB+256GB version during the first sale, which is about 1000 yuan lower than flagship phones with the same processor. Many people who are interested in the Realme GT7 Pro are curious about whether this phone, with such a low price, has any shortcomings in terms of user experience? Below, we will conduct a comprehensive review of the Realme GT7 Pro to see if this phone can truly deliver a comprehensive and outstanding "leapfrog" experience.
Star Ring Streamline Design, Exuding Elegance
Compared to its previous generation, the Realme GT7 Pro's appearance has undergone a significant change. It no longer uses a curved screen and the back of the phone employs a completely new design language, making the overall look more refined. We have the Star Trail Titanium version of the Realme GT7 Pro. The back of the phone is crafted with a Star Ring Streamline design, creating a delicate texture that highly resembles titanium metal on the glass material. This creates an illusion of a deep and ever-changing planetary ring, sparking endless imagination. At the top of the phone, the Realme GT7 Pro features a rectangular camera module. It is no longer centrally arranged but placed on the left side. Notably, the edges of the rectangular camera module on the Realme GT7 Pro have a contrasting Mars color treatment added, adding a touch of exploration to the calm and sturdy titanium color.
- Moving to the front of the phone, the Realme GT7 Pro is equipped with the "Eco2 Sky Screen" co-developed by Realme and Samsung Display. The screen measures 6.78 inches and has a resolution of 27801264. The official claims that the peak global brightness reaches 2000 nits, and it also features the first non-polarized natural light eye protection technology. PChome has tested the Realme GT7 Pro, and the peak brightness of the entire screen reaches 2037 nits, covering 102% of the P3 color gamut. This is 37 nits higher than the official claim, which could be considered a "reverse mislabeling."

Additionally, the Realme GT7 Pro comes with hardware-level full-brightness DC dimming enabled by default. It only flickers once per frame, making the flicker frequency infinitely close to the 0-Hz flicker of an LCD screen. It also consumes less power and saves battery life. PChome adjusted the brightness of both the Realme GT7 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro to 50% and set the camera shutter speed to 1/1000 to capture photos of both phones. The result shows that the Realme GT7 Pro screen only has one black line, while the iPhone 16 Pro is almost "completely black."
On the side of the phone, the Realme GT7 Pro's frame is made of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy metal, providing a smooth feel and seamlessly merging with the back cover, further enhancing the overall integrity of the phone.
Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Score Close to 3 Million
As Realme's annual flagship phone, the Realme GT7 Pro's performance naturally will not have any shortcomings. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, manufactured using TSMC's 3nm second-generation process. It features Qualcomm's newly self-developed Oryon CPU architecture, with two super-large cores reaching a peak frequency of 4.32GHz and six high-energy-efficiency cores reaching a peak frequency of 3.53GHz. Its performance is extremely powerful.
Let's take a look at the Realme GT7 Pro's benchmark scores. In the AnTuTu benchmark, the Realme GT7 Pro achieved a high score of 2,949,800 points. In the Geekbench test, the Realme GT7 Pro scored 3,156 points in single-core and 9,648 points in multi-core, ranking it among the first echelon of flagship phones in terms of overall benchmark performance.
In terms of gaming performance, under PChome's standard test model, the Realme GT7 Pro ran "Genshin Impact" for 30 minutes with an average frame rate of 59.69 frames and a power consumption of 4W. The overall performance was very stable, and even in complex combat scenes, there were no significant fluctuations.
In addition to its impressive performance configuration, the Realme GT7 Pro is also equipped with Realme's largest dual-layer VC cooling system, covering an area of 11,480mm2. The cooling system has achieved full-chain, full-contact, and full-sensing heat dissipation optimization, significantly enhancing efficiency. PChome tested the phone, and after playing "Genshin Impact" for 30 minutes, the Realme GT7 Pro's front temperature reached 40.8C, and the rear temperature reached 40.1C, demonstrating excellent temperature control performance.
6500mAh Large Battery Capacity, Long-Lasting Battery Life
To meet the long-term gaming needs of passionate gamers, Realme has jointly developed the Titan Battery with CATL, incorporating the new generation of silicon-carbon anode technology. It boasts the highest 10% silicon content in the industry, significantly improving battery density and battery capacity per gram.
In terms of parameters, the Realme GT7 Pro is equipped with a Titan Battery with a capacity of 6500mAh, ranking among the first echelon in terms of battery capacity for the same platform. Compared to the previous generation, the Realme GT7 Pro's battery capacity has increased by 1100mAh, while the overall thickness of the phone has decreased by 7.4%, to only 8.55mm. This demonstrates that the Titan Battery truly is packed with "black technology."
PChome conducted a 2024 three-hour battery life model test, revealing that the Realme GT7 Pro's total power consumption was only 24%, with 76% battery remaining at the end of the test. This suggests that the Realme GT7 Pro's Eco2 Sky Screen does indeed have exceptionally low power consumption.
Regarding charging, the Realme GT7 Pro supports 120W SuperDart Charge. In screen-off tests, it takes 32 minutes to fully charge the UI and 56 minutes to fully charge the device. Although the UI charging time is relatively fast, the trickle charging time of the Realme GT7 Pro is a bit long. Hopefully, Realme can optimize the charging strategy of the Realme GT7 Pro through system updates in the future.
It is worth noting that the Realme GT7 Pro not only supports high-power fast charging but also guarantees long-term health. Thanks to its exclusive silicon-carbon anode long-life algorithm, the Realme GT7 Pro can still maintain 80% battery health after four years of use.
Main Camera Uses IMX906, Excellent Low-Light Performance
Despite focusing on performance, the Realme GT7 Pro's camera configuration does not have any shortcomings. In terms of parameters, the Realme GT7 Pro is equipped with a triple-camera module consisting of a 50MP main camera + 50MP telephoto lens + 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The main camera sensor is the IMX906, boasting a 1/1.56-inch ultra-large sensor and an f/1.8 ultra-large aperture.

In night environments, the large size of the Realme GT7 Pro's IMX906 sensor and the f/1.8 large aperture once again demonstrate their advantages. The large aperture's light-gathering capability, combined with the larger sensor's light-enhancing effect, provides ample brightness during night shooting, and dark details are also well preserved. At the same time, the Realme GT7 Pro's optimization in night shooting algorithms also stands out, effectively reducing noise and making the picture clean and transparent. For users who
