The Red Magic 10 Pro Series Is About to Be Released, with Four Color Options and Upgraded Game Performance
Recently, Red Magic has been teasing its upcoming 10Pro series, which is set to be released on November 13th. Today, the company officially unveiled four color options for the new phones: Dark Knight, Day Samurai, Deuteron Transparent Dark Night, and Deuteron Transparent Silver Wings.
From the images released by Red Magic, the new Red Magic 10 Pro series has rounded screen corners with excellent black bezel control. The rear camera module blends seamlessly with the back, creating a flat body feel. The "Day Samurai" model features a pure white design that is simple and elegant, while the "Dark Knight" uses a pure black body with diamond-shaped reflective patterns for a contrasting visual and a more textured feel. The two transparent models, the "Deuteron Transparent Dark Night" and "Transparent Silver Wings," showcase the Snapdragon Elite chip and Red Magic's self-developed esports chip in the top right corner of the back panel. Even the screws and other details are visible.
Combining recent official teasers and leaks, the Red Magic 10 Pro series will be equipped with a 1.5K full-screen display, and performance and cooling are expected to be key selling points, promising an enhanced gaming experience.
In terms of the screen, Red Magic collaborated with BOE (BOE Technology Group) to jointly develop the Super COP packaging process and also adopted SIP (System in Package) ultra-narrow bezel technology. As a result, the Red Magic 10 Pro series achieves a screen bezel thickness of just 1.25mm and a side frame thickness of 0.7mm, achieving a 95.3% screen-to-body ratio. The new phone also premieres the 1.5K full-screen under-display camera technology, which Red Magic calls "Wukong Screen," signifying "seamless." This is currently the highest resolution UDC full-screen solution in the industry. It is reported that the Red Magic 10 Pro will be equipped with a 6.85-inch display, offering a 25881216 resolution, a peak brightness of 2000nits, support for 2592 super high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 144Hz refresh rate. Even the under-display area of the screen boasts a 144Hz refresh rate.
In terms of core performance, the entire Red Magic 10 Pro series will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor, adopting a 2+6 core architecture with two super-large cores clocked at 4.32GHz. Compared to the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the single-core performance has increased by 35%, and multi-core performance has increased by 30%. The addition of GPU frame interpolation technology allows for super-resolution and super-frame rendering concurrently. Equipped with the new HexagonAI processor, it significantly enhances the AI inference capability on the device end, creating a more complete experience for features like voice assistants and photography enhancements. It also comes equipped with the Snapdragon X805G modem and radio frequency system. Compared to traditional 5G, it offers a 10-fold improvement in experience, resulting in significant enhancements in aspects like network speed and latency.
In addition, the Red Magic 10 Pro series will be the first to feature Red Magic's self-developed Red Core R3 esports chip, comes standard with LPDDR5XUltra, reaching a frequency of 9600Mbps, and is equipped with UFS4.0PRO. Red Magic claims the new phone achieves a 60.1 average frame rate at 60 minutes of "Honkai: Star Rail" gameplay with extremely high-quality settings and a frame rate variance of 0.2. Moreover, the phone supports 2K+120FPS super-resolution and super-frame rendering concurrently, with over 200 games supporting super-resolution and super-frame rendering. Coupled with an active cooling system and dedicated gaming buttons, it is expected to provide gamers with a better gaming experience.
According to a post by @AnTuTu, "We found a Red Magic new phone model NX789J, which, unless otherwise specified, is the Red Magic 10 Pro+ gaming phone that will be released on November 13th." The model being tested is equipped with 24GB + 1TB storage and scored over 3.11 million (3116126) points, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor and running a system based on Android 15.
In summary, the Red Magic 10 Pro series will optimize game display, control smoothness, and heat dissipation. How the new phone performs in practice will be covered in detail by Keji Meixue at the upcoming new product launch in two days. Stay tuned for more!
