Apple today announced that the limited edition Apple Music: 100 Best Albums book is now available for pre-order at $450. The luxurious hardcover book is published by luxury goods company Assouline and is limited to a global run of 1,500 copies, each with individually hand-numbered copies.
The deluxe book features luxurious design elements including "a sleek, translucent slipcase" and "gilded edges on the pages." Assouline offers free shipping on orders over $200.
The limited edition book's value lies not only in its content, but in its exquisite packaging and design. Each book is housed in a custom-designed translucent acrylic carrying case engraved with the Apple Music logo, the same logo is embossed on the linen hardcover volume, perfectly matching the engraved design. The version number is engraved on the back of the box and inside, a hand-numbered bookplate further emphasizes the limited nature of this edition. The pages are gilded with a shimmering gold finish, echoing the title embossed on the spine.
This 208-page book features a foreword by Apple Music 1 radio host Zane Lowe, and a detailed look at each of the albums on the Apple Music 100 greatest albums list, shared earlier this year, including album cover art and album information.
