Huawei Mate70 Series Hands-On Images Leaked: 3D Face + Side Fingerprint Unlock, Massive Configuration Upgrade?
Earlier this month, Richard Yu announced that the new Huawei Mate70 series is set to launch this month, sparking intense discussions about the phone's design, specifications, and price. Finally, real-life images of the Huawei Mate70 have surfaced online, quickly becoming a trending topic in the smartphone world.
Images released by various media outlets reveal that the Huawei Mate70 still adopts a four-sided equal design, with three holes in the top of the screen, similar to the Huawei Mate60 Pro series, and is expected to have the same functionality. The blogger @Digital Chat Station revealed that the device also uses a metal frame, similar to a right-angle + large chamfer transition design, with an increased size for the power button, incorporating fingerprint recognition functionality. This suggests that the Huawei Mate70 will feature side fingerprint recognition.
Besides the visuals, numerous leaks have surfaced regarding the Huawei Mate70 series' configuration and pricing. Digital blogger @Focus Digital states that the Huawei Mate70 series is "the most powerful ever, with the highest level of self-developed technology, and an incredibly comfortable grip." The blogger also highlights the significant upgrade in the new platform's heat dissipation technology, along with a more comfortable grip due to the optimized width of the device.
In terms of configuration, @Digital Chat Station revealed that the Huawei Mate70 might utilize a 6.69-inch 1.5K straight screen, equipped with a 50MP 1/1.5" large sensor variable aperture lens, a 12MP 5x periscope telephoto lens, and wireless charging, high-specification dust and water resistance, supporting facial recognition and side fingerprint recognition. Meanwhile, the Huawei Mate70 Pro, positioned higher in the series, is expected to feature a 6.88-inch 1.5K display with a four-sided micro-curved design and a 120Hz LTPO screen. The device will also boast a 50MP 1/1.3" ultra-large sensor main camera with variable aperture, a 50MP 1/2.5" 3.5X periscope telephoto macro lens combination, and support for ToF 3D facial recognition and side fingerprint recognition.
Regarding the price, which is a concern for many, @Focus Digital commented, "The price increase is limited. While manufacturers say there will be a price hike, it's not actually much..." Comparing it to other previously launched flagship models, the overall price adjustment isn't significant, with a difference of roughly 200 yuan for similar configurations. This implies that the possibility of a price increase for the Huawei Mate70 series is low, and even if there is an increase, it wouldn't be substantial.
Based on the leaked information, the Huawei Mate70 series will see upgrades in performance and imaging capabilities. The most notable change is the adoption of a 3D face + side fingerprint unlock system. However, as no official information about the Huawei Mate70 series has been released yet, the actual details of the new phone remain to be seen. With the launch date approaching, more leaks are expected, so stay tuned for further updates.
