Technology media outlet sammyguru published a blog post today reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S25 standard edition phone for the Korean market has appeared on the GeekBench benchmark database, confirming its use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and an upgrade to 12GB of RAM. According to the database page, the model number is SM-S931N, and it achieved a single-core score of 2481 and a multi-core score of 8658 on GeekBench 6.3.0.

The page shows that the Korean version of the Galaxy S25 standard edition is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, with a clock speed of 4.47GHz. In comparison, the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset runs at 4.32GHz. While the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset boasts a higher frequency, its multi-core score of 8658 falls short of the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (which has surpassed 10,000). This could be partly due to the device being a prototype, and Samsung hasn't fully optimized it yet.

While rumors suggested that the Galaxy S25 and S25+ might feature Samsung's own Exynos 2500 processor, the latest news indicates that the global market will adopt the Snapdragon 8 Elite uniformly. Due to the low yield of the 3nm process, Samsung is reportedly shelving the Exynos plan and fully embracing Snapdragon chips.

Based on current leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will continue with the Snapdragon chipset, offering higher clock speeds and larger memory capacities. We can expect Samsung to continue improving performance in the future, delivering a smoother user experience.
