Following the release of the iQOO 13, in addition to the powerful performance brought by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the self-developed Q2 gaming chip, iQOO has consistently highlighted its impressive fast charging and battery life capabilities.

In terms of battery life, the iQOO 13 successfully incorporates a large 6150mAh battery while maintaining a body thickness of less than 8mm. This ultra-thin "blue ocean" battery, built using third-generation silicon anode technology, achieves higher energy density in a smaller volume, perfectly balancing a large battery with a slim design.

For fast charging, the iQOO 13 not only supports iQOO's proprietary 120W fast charging protocol but also adopts low-temperature direct drive technology. This technology directly powers the phone, effectively reducing heat generation during gaming. It's worth mentioning that, according to feedback from a well-known digital blogger on Weibo, a recent system update (ver15.1.9.9) even added 100W PPS charging support to the iQOO 12 Pro, further enhancing its charging experience.

To better understand the charging compatibility of the iQOO 12 series and iQOO 13, we conducted real-world tests. We chose the iQOO 12 Pro (with its good heat dissipation) and the latest iQOO 13 as test devices. Reportedly, all iQOO devices updated to the latest OriginOS 5 have the potential to gain high-voltage PPS fast charging compatibility, so users of other iQOO models can also refer to the results of this test.

For chargers, we used the CUKTECH 10 GaN Super Fast Charging Block and the Huawei 100W Dual-Port Charger. (Source: iQOO) The CUKTECH 10 GaN Super Fast Charging Block supports multiple fast charging protocols including Xiaomi's proprietary protocol, PD, PPS, UFCS, QC, FCP, and SCP; while the Huawei 100W dual-port charger is currently one of the most standard UFCS chargers on the market, conveniently activating UFCS fusion fast charging.

The test environment was at a room temperature of 24. We set the charging settings of both devices to "default super-fast charging mode" and discharged the phones to 5% before starting the test. Charging power was measured using a WeiJian Technology C4L power meter.

The test results show that both the iQOO 12 and iQOO 13 can easily activate the 100W PPS level of third-party fast chargers, whether through factory support or updates, with charging voltage remaining stable at around 17V.

• Next, we tested the iQOO 13's UFCS fusion fast charging: The measured peak power was 16.51V 2.82A = 46.5W, subsequently stabilizing at 9.32V 1.98A = 18.4W for an extended period. Without intentionally activating UFCS, both phones could successfully activate 68W fast charging, reaching a peak power of around 68W and stabilizing at around 40W for extended charging. 100W Fast Charging Compatibility Test with Power Banks

Besides charger compatibility, power bank compatibility also directly affects the charging experience while traveling. We chose the Anker Innovation Anker Zolo Power Bank for testing. This product has a maximum output power of 165W, a capacity of 25000mAh, a maximum self-charging power of 100W, and features a 70cm retractable cable and a 30cm lanyard. Using the iQOO 13 with the Anker Zolo Power Bank, the travel charging setup can be simplified to "charger + power bank," eliminating the need to carry the original charger and power bank.

The real-world test results far exceeded expectations.

The charging performance of the iQOO 12/13 is impressive. Thanks to its support for multiple fast-charging protocols, including the 120W proprietary protocol, 100W PPS fast charging, and 44W UFCS fusion fast charging, ideal charging efficiency can be achieved whether using the original charger or a high-power third-party charger. Tests show that conventional third-party chargers provide at least 17W of PD fast charging power; chargers supporting the UFCS fast charging protocol can achieve around 44W; and chargers supporting high-power PPS can reach 80-90W, with charging time generally controlled within half an hour. Users are not limited to specific brand charging devices and can use numerous chargers and power banks on the market that support PPS and UFCS fusion fast charging to charge their iQOO 12/13.
