vivo X200 Series: Powered by AWinis for Flagship Audio, Haptic, and Imaging Experiences
vivo recently launched its flagship phone of the year, the vivo X200 series, showcasing significant upgrades in audio, haptic feedback, and imaging systems. This achievement is largely attributed to its in-depth collaboration with AWinis Technology. The vivo X200 series incorporates several innovative AWinis ICs, including the new flagship Digital Smart K series high-end audio amplifier, the fifth-generation linear motor driver IC, and AWinis's Light Language series flash driver products, collectively delivering a stunning flagship user experience.
AWinis Digital Smart K Series: Delivering Superior Audio to the vivo X200 Series
Both the vivo X200 Pro and X200 feature AWinis's new flagship Digital Smart K series high-end audio amplifier. This series utilizes dynamic power rail technology, automatically switching power rails based on output power. Leveraging AWinis's proprietary SmartBoost 2.0 technology, it significantly improves the overall efficiency of the audio PA. In practical applications, power consumption is reduced by approximately 15% for low-signal input and by approximately 25% for medium-to-high signal input. This not only results in a more immersive audio experience, excelling in music playback, movie watching, and gaming, but also effectively extends the battery life of the vivo X200 series.
Notably, the Digital Smart K series incorporates industry-leading Brown-Out Protection (BOP) technology. Through rapid hardware-level BOP response, multi-level voltage threshold settings, and multi-level sampling threshold settings, it ensures consistent and stable audio output even under low battery conditions. This effectively addresses the issue of severe voltage drops that can occur when high-power consumption functions (such as RFPA and SPKAmp) operate simultaneously under low battery, preventing system errors and chip resets. This technology precisely controls battery voltage and chip peak current (as shown in Figures 2 and 3), guaranteeing system stability and user experience.
Furthermore, the vivo X200 series integrates AWinis's latest seventh-generation awinic SKTune V7 algorithm. This algorithm enhances the acoustic experience from multiple aspects, including sound field surround, sound field widening, bass dynamic enhancement, and game sound effects enhancement. Beyond superior sound enhancement, awinic SKTune V7 incorporates advanced protection algorithms such as low-voltage protection, low-pressure protection, and Non-IV temperature protection. It accurately identifies speaker status, maximizing speaker performance and further improving audio output. The awinic SKTune algorithm, evolving from V1 to V7 over many years, remains customer-centric, continuously overcoming technical hurdles and delivering premium auditory experiences to hundreds of millions of smartphone users. (Figure 4 illustrates the evolution of the awinic SKTune algorithm.)
AWinis Fifth-Generation Linear Motor Driver IC: Enabling More Precise and Refined Haptic Feedback
The vivo X200 series also features AWinis's newly launched fifth-generation linear motor driver IC. As the industry's smallest high-voltage haptic feedback driver IC, it integrates essential haptic feedback functions such as AAE (Automatic Braking) and F0 automatic calibration/tracking. AWinis's vibration consistency calibration technology has been iterated to the third generation, introducing advanced algorithms like LCC 3.0 and BEA (Broadband Boost), enabling each linear motor to achieve superior performance. (Figure 5 shows a typical application of this IC, while Figure 6 details its characteristics.)
The driver IC specifications include 8kBSRAM, 11V Boost voltage drive capability (8.8VP@8 loading), support for 1MHz I2C and I2S interfaces, and six playback modes (real-time playback, storage playback, hardware trigger playback, single-line pulse trigger, I2S real-time playback, and continuous playback). Since AWinis released its first linear motor driver IC in 2017, its haptic feedback solutions have been widely adopted by major Android smartphone manufacturers globally, as well as various industries including consumer electronics, industrial internet of things, and automotive, with over 600 million devices worldwide equipped with AWinis's linear motor driver ICs.
AWinis Light Language Series Flash Driver: Safeguarding the vivo X200 Series Imaging System
The vivo X200 Pro boasts a rear triple-camera system, including a super-sensitive VCS bionic main camera, a Zeiss super-telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. This requires a robust flash system to capture high-quality photos and videos under various lighting conditions. AWinis's Light Language series flash driver products provide strong support for the vivo X200 series imaging system.
The AWinis flash driver features single-channel high current, high-precision LED flash drive capability, delivering 1.5A high current with a small PCB footprint and supporting 256-level brightness adjustment. The single-channel TORCH current reaches 375mA, with IO levels supporting 1.2V/1.8V, meeting the demands of high-end platforms. Furthermore, its built-in IVFM mechanism monitors input voltage in real-time and adjusts LED current, ensuring optimal flash performance under all conditions. (Figure 7 shows a typical application of this flash driver.)
AWinis "Store": Catering to Diverse Application Needs
To meet diverse application requirements, AWinis's product line strives to be an IC supermarket the AWinis "Store" enabling customers to easily select the ideal products. This reflects AWinis Technology's commitment to technological innovation and customer service. Through close collaboration with AWinis Technology, the vivo X200 series has achieved significant breakthroughs in audio, haptic feedback, and imaging systems, providing users with an unprecedented flagship experience. AWinis Technology's advanced technology and continuous innovation inject new vitality into the smartphone industry.
