The OnePlus Ace5 boasts a unique Gravity Titanium color scheme. The back features Star Track glass technology and a groundbreaking micron-level textured processing technique. Centered around a circular Deco area resembling a full moon, 11,000 circular Star Track textures radiate outwards, each just 0.005mm wide, providing a delicate touch and elegant, unique visual effect. The camera Deco continues the classic design of the OnePlus Ace series, featuring a triple rear camera setup with a color temperature sensor and a single LED flash. The iconic "Ace" logo is subtly printed on the right side, showcasing the high-performance positioning with simple yet recognizable branding. The classic three-stage volume button is retained, offering users a familiar and convenient operating experience.
The front features a 6.78-inch OLED display, debuting the second-generation 1.5K Oriental screen using flagship-level X2 material. The global maximum brightness reaches 1600 nits, with a peak brightness of 4500 nits. Coupled with a 1.5K resolution and 8TLTPO circuit design, it delivers finer image rendering and significantly improves power consumption control and dynamic refresh rate experience. A 16-megapixel front-facing camera is centrally located at the top of the screen. Independent speaker openings are positioned at the top and bottom, creating a symmetrical stereo sound field. The top also integrates an infrared remote control sensor and a noise-canceling microphone, while the bottom houses the SIM card slot, dual microphones, and a Type-C charging port. An 80W fast charging kit is included in the box for convenient charging.
The mid-frame design prioritizes comfortable landscape-mode grip, achieving a "pinky finger-friendly" experience. Weighing only 206g, the phone maintains a comfortable grip even during extended use, a pleasant surprise for a phone primarily focused on gaming performance. The OnePlus Ace5 pursues perfection in design, seamlessly blending technology and aesthetics for a user experience that combines both quality and comfort.
II. Performance and Gaming Experience: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 "Iron Triangle" Unleashes Powerful Performance, Upgraded Gaming Experience
The OnePlus Ace5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform and comes standard with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 storage specifications. The tested version was 16GB+512GB. To fully leverage the phone's performance, the memory expansion function was disabled, and the high-performance mode was enabled during testing.
Benchmark Performance Tests:
The AnTuTu benchmark score exceeded 2,188,000 points, with a CPU score exceeding 469,000 points and a GPU score nearing 900,000 points. The Geekbench 6 single-core score was 2206 points, and the multi-core score was 6865 points. Flash memory tests showed sequential read speeds of 4020.39 MB/s, sequential write speeds of 3684.38 MB/s, random read speeds of 418.8 MB/s, and random write speeds of 609.11 MB/s, all meeting UFS 4.0 standards. This data fully demonstrates the powerful hardware performance of the OnePlus Ace5.
Gaming Performance Tests:
- In a 24C office environment, we selected two popular mobile games, PUBG Mobile and Genshin Impact, and conducted tests at the highest graphics quality and frame rate settings (prioritizing image quality), recording the frame rate, power consumption, power efficiency ratio, and body temperature during gameplay.
- In PUBG Mobile HDR high-definition 90fps mode, after one game, the average frame rate remained stable at 89.6 FPS, with an average fluctuation of only 0.5 FPS, average power consumption of approximately 3.78W, power efficiency of 23.7 FPS/W, and a maximum back temperature of only 33.5C.
- In Genshin Impact at maximum graphics settings and 60 FPS, a 15-minute test in Sumeru City showed an average frame rate of 59.9 FPS, with an average fluctuation of only 0.3 FPS, average power consumption of less than 5W (4.94W), and power efficiency of 12.13 FPS/W. Compared to other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 models, power consumption was reduced by approximately 0.5W, and power efficiency improved by about 20%. Thanks to the lower power consumption, heat generation was minimal, with a maximum temperature of only 36.4C.
- Even more impressive, the OnePlus Ace5, using its Wind Speed Gaming Kernel technology, supports game ultra-frame and ultra-resolution functions without a dedicated GPU, achieving the industry's first native 120 FPS + 1080P dual-game experience. With the ultra-frame function enabled in Genshin Impact, the frame rate increased from 60 FPS to 120 FPS. A 15-minute test showed an average frame rate of 119.7 FPS with an average fluctuation of only 0.2 FPS. Average power consumption was 6.06W, an increase of only about 1W compared to the native graphics settings, with a power efficiency of 19.76 FPS/W, a 62.9% increase. Even in ultra-frame mode, thanks to the Tian Gong Cooling Elite system equipped with a 9925mm ultra-large ten-thousand-level VC area and aerospace-grade high-performance heat dissipation materials, the maximum back temperature was only 40.2C, remaining within a comfortable temperature range.
III. Imaging System: Sony IMX906 Sensor Delivers Flagship-Level Imaging Experience
The OnePlus Ace5 features a triple rear camera system. The main camera uses a Sony IMX906 CMOS sensor, equipped with a 1/1.56-inch photosensitive unit, 1m single pixel size, F1.8 large aperture, and OIS optical image stabilization, with an equivalent focal length of 24mm. This sensor, combined with the large aperture design, improves the main camera's light sensitivity by 27% compared to the previous generation, significantly reducing noise in low-light conditions and enhancing night photography. In terms of image algorithms, the OnePlus Ace5 inherits the image optimization technology of the OnePlus 13, further improving image quality and providing users with a near-flagship photography experience. Additionally, it features an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (112 ultra-wide field of view) and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
In daylight scenes, the Sony IMX906 main camera performs excellently, exhibiting excellent resolution even at 2x zoom, with good preservation of light and shadow details. Coupled with the Super Light and Shadow image engine algorithm, sample images have vibrant colors and strong visual impact. In direct sunlight, slight overexposure may occur occasionally, but this does not affect its ability to meet daily shooting needs.
In night mode, using long-exposure technology, the color performance is well-controlled. Even in complex lighting environments, color reproduction is accurate, and the image is delicate and natural, avoiding whitening or distortion.
The 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens offers true-to-life color reproduction and excellent control over edge distortion, resulting in a well-balanced overall image. It can easily capture grand scenes with an ultra-wide field of view, meeting diverse daily photography needs.
