Despite the extremely limited data allowance, SpaceX emphasized its utility as an emergency solution "during outages of your primary internet connection or in emergencies."

The email further explained that additional data could be purchased at US$3 per GB. Crucially, the service supports roaming, allowing use in vehicles, aircraft, international waters, and coastal areas significantly expanding its potential appeal, particularly for travelers or those in remote locations.
