Realme Neo7 SE and Neo7x: A Double Launch on February 25th, Delivering Unbeatable Value
Realme China President, Xu Qi, officially announced that the highly anticipated Realme Neo7 SE will launch on February 25th at 4 PM. A pre-release video showcased the "Sky Blue Mech" color variant, inspired by futuristic mechs, featuring a textured back panel mimicking mechanical joints for a unique tactile experience. A white version is also likely to be available alongside the Sky Blue Mech.
Leaked images reveal a potential purple version of the Neo7 SE (RMX5080), sporting a brushed metal finish. It remains unclear if this shares the same Star Ring Streamline process as the GT7 Pro. The device received its TENAA (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) certification on January 3rd and its radio frequency approval on December 27th, 2024.
As a new member of the Realme Neo series, the Neo7 SE will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor and support 80W fast charging. Notably, the Dimensity 8400, unveiled on December 23rd, 2024, features the first-ever Cortex-A725 all-large-core architecture, boasting a 10% single-core performance increase and a 35% power consumption reduction.
The Dimensity 8400 also includes a significantly upgraded GPU, the Arm Immortalis-G720 MC7 1.3GHz, supporting hardware ray tracing and a 40% bandwidth optimization. This leads to a 24% improvement in peak GPU performance compared to its predecessor. Multi-core power consumption is reduced by 44%, ensuring excellent performance across gaming, music, video recording, and social media.
Further specifications, revealed by the digital blogger @Digital Chat Station, suggest a 1.5K straight screen, a plastic mid-frame, and the Dimensity 8400 Max processor (different from the Dimensity 8400-Ultra mentioned in TENAA information). It's expected to house a large 7000mAh battery with 80W fast charging and a short-focus optical fingerprint sensor. The rear camera system will reportedly feature a 50MP IMX882 main sensor and a secondary lens.
The blogger hints at a competitive price, suggesting it will be exceptionally affordable, potentially the cheapest Dimensity 8400 series phone on the market, aligning with Realme's pricing strategy. The significant battery life improvement is also a key highlight.
Alongside the Neo7 SE, Realme also announced the Neo7x, a new strategic model targeting the thousand-yuan price segment. The pre-order is currently open for 1 yuan. Listed as RMX5071, the Neo7x has already completed its TENAA certification.
The Neo7x supports 5G networks and features an under-display fingerprint scanner, a 6.67-inch 24001080 OLED display, a 5860mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 octa-core CPU (2.3GHz).
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, manufactured using TSMC's 4nm process (a first for the 6-series), utilizes an ARMv9 architecture comprising one 2.3GHz Cortex-A720 super-core, three 2.2GHz Cortex-A720 cores, and four 1.8GHz Cortex-A520 cores. The GPU performance is improved by 29% compared to the previous generation.
The Neo7x also boasts a 6.67-inch 24001080 full screen, a 5860mAh battery, weighing only 194g and measuring just 7.97mm in thickness. It features a 16MP front camera and a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor.
Both the Neo7 SE and Neo7x will be launched simultaneously, offering consumers a compelling choice in the value-for-money segment. The Realme launch event on February 25th promises exciting revelations. These two phones, despite their different positioning, both aim to deliver high value, signifying Realme's strengthened competitiveness in the mid-to-low-end market.
