A shocking incident in Idaho involved a participant dressed as Adolf Hitler at a counter-protest.

The catalyst for the protests is Musk's controversial "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE), a sweeping reform effort targeting federal agencies that has significantly impacted the lives and livelihoods of many. Tesla's stock price has plummeted over 30% since the beginning of the year, further fueling public anger. Sporadic acts of vandalism against Tesla vehicles, charging stations, and dealerships have prompted the Trump administration to consider classifying violent protesters as "domestic terrorists."

Amidst the escalating tension, certain extremist groups have taken it upon themselves to protect Musk and Tesla. Video footage shows David Pettinger, a member of the anti-government extremist group "People's Rights," shouting in a faux-German accent outside a Tesla dealership in Meridian, Idaho, last Saturday: "My people will be free, my people will rule again." Pettinger, wearing a t-shirt depicting Hitler and Musk giving a Nazi salute, jodhpurs, and black boots, distributed heart-shaped stickers to Musk supporters, claiming his Hitler costume was satire of the misuse of the terms "Nazi" and "fascist." However, his posts on X (formerly Twitter) echoed Hitler's anti-Semitic views, raising questions about his true motives.

Multiple individuals in camouflage, some wearing body armor, were also present at the same location. Footage shows Pettinger's jodhpurs concealing a handgun, highlighting the dangerous escalation of the protests.

In Fresno, California, Josh Fulver ("OreoExpress"), a far-right internet personality involved in the January 6th Capitol riot, joined the counter-protesters. He claimed to be supporting Dogecoin, Musk, Tesla, and the current administration while harassing and verbally abusing demonstrators, documenting his actions in self-recorded videos.

In Salem, Oregon, pro-Musk individuals in yellow and black uniforms waved Proud Boys flags in front of a Tesla showroom, further highlighting the involvement of far-right organizations.

The Oklahoma-based far-right anti-government militia group "Patrol Veterans" announced on Telegram that they were suspending their immigration monitoring activities to infiltrate "Disrupt Tesla" protests, aiming to "redirect the boycott of Musk and electric vehicles towards more reasonable targets."

Musk himself has repeatedly made unsubstantiated claims on X, accusing protesters of being paid agitators, while some far-right social media accounts echoed accusations of George Soross involvement.
